Baselight Spirit control

FilmLight and DFT Digital Film Technology – working together to offer control of the Spirit DataCine®|Spirit HD|Spirit 2K| Spirit 4K and Shadow Telecine™ systems from within Baselight.

With the release of Baselight 3.3, Baselight will offer direct control of all telecine features, including noise reduction, on these DFT Digital Film Technology systems.

This allows Baselight colourists to replicate a traditional film-to-tape process, as well as exploit the creative opportunities that a software colour corrector brings.

This hybrid film-to-tape workflow offers the following advantages:

• Hybrid software colour corrector and telecine controller
• Productive – traditional colour corrector able to finesse using the full Baselight toolset
• Non-linear shot management
• Direct control of all telecine features, including noise reduction
• Simultaneous direct-to-tape and ingest
