We are pleased to offer special arrangements for some of our products, where they are obtained exclusively for academic use by qualifying educational establishments (see Eligibility below).
- Free Baselight S or Baselight M annual subscription for academic use
Educational institutions are eligible for free annual subscription licences for either of our Baselight for macOS products, for use by the students and staff of the institution to which the licence has been granted. The number of licences provided is at FilmLight’s discretion and dependent on individual requirements – contact [email protected] for more information.
To qualify for academic pricing, your educational establishment must be either:
- Administered by a national government and operated on a non-profit basis.
- A private educational establishment that is a not-for-profit organisation
(for example, an establishment with registered charity status).

In all cases, the products must be used by students or staff for academic purposes, which does not include college AV departments or any other activity not concerned with an academic curriculum.
