Baselight for macOS is a complete grading and finishing solution providing powerful, fully-featured Baselight on the Apple macOS platform.
The new solutions offer the same advanced features as high-end Baselight Linux systems and come with FilmLight’s renowned 24/7 user support.
Baselight v7 is now available on all platforms.
Baselight for macOS licences are available for any length up to 365 days – use the Custom Duration option to purchase the number of days you need for your current project.
There are two Baselight for macOS products.
Baselight S is a budget-friendly option for the single freelancer, with full grading features but without advanced collaboration tools.
Baselight M is designed for facilities that require multi-user interconnectivity, such as with Baselight CONFORM and Baselight ASSIST.
If your job requirements grow, you can easily upgrade from Baselight S to Baselight M.
14-Day Trial gives you access to a fully functioning version of Baselight M for 14 days.
Custom Duration allows you to access a full licence for either Baselight S or Baselight M for the exact number of days required, with a limit of 365 days.
The Baselight for macOS custom licence is priced on a sliding scale, where the cost of each day reduces the longer the duration of the licence. For example, Baselight S in USD:
- 1 day = $90
- 10 days = $510 ($51 per day)
- 100 days = $2850 ($28.50 per day)

Recommended Mac specification
- macOS 14-15 or macOS 26 Tahoe on Intel or Apple Silicon
- 64GB or greater unified memory
- 1TB or greater internal storage
- External fast Thunderbolt NVMe enterprise SSD with 8TB or greater reserved for cache.
Large internal Apple NVMe SSD storage can be utilised for Baselight’s cache; however, this may exhibit a limited life span and is difficult to replace.
* Baselight for macOS is supported on Intel Macs and lower specification Apple Silicon systems; however, this is not the recommended configuration.
